I. Opening Song
Song: “Come Thou Fount”
II. Call To Worship
Reading: Psalm 111
Call: This is the Word of the Lord.
Response: Praise be to God
Song: “Death Was Arrested”
Song: “Come Behold the Wondrous Mystery”
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24,
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
Oh God, full of mercy, we come before you this morning with souls parched for the waters of your grace, and your love, we long for its embrace. Lord, we have willingly rebelled and walked in the ways of the wicked. Our hearts have been hardened, our conscious calloused, and our desires drip with deceitfulness. We have walked in ignorance before you, our thoughts have been taken captive by all sorts of evils. Pride has adorned our speech like pearls on a wrist. And the fragrance of death lingers upon our breath. We come before you thirsty for your mercy, pour out your grace upon us lest we perish. We confess our anger; we confess our pride; we confess our lust and laziness. Lord, by the blood of our savior and great high priest, we cry out to you.
Response: Father, forgive us.
IV. Assurance of Pardon
Church, your prayers for forgiveness have not failed. The prayer of your confession has ascended to the right hand of the Father where our Great High Priest has now interceded on your behalf. Every shriek of the accusor has been silenced, and any consideration of condemnation has been cast away. For Jesus himself has taken your sin, he has taken your guilt, and he bore your shame in his body upon the cross. You are no longer alienated from the life of God but have been brought into the very life of the Triune God where you are clothed with righteousness and holiness. Yes, Church, your life is secure in the very life of the sovereign king, Jesus Christ. There is not a single charge that can be brought against God’s elect, for you are secure in the life of God. Because of this great truth, hear these words; by the great and powerful name of Jesus, I declare to you, your sins are forgiven!
Response: Praise be to God!
Song: “Jesus Paid it All”
Ephesians: The Mystery of God
Ephesians 4:17-32 | Pastor Kyle Lammott
As a child of the King, you may eat and drink at the table He has prepared for you. Together we shall celebrate His victory & proclaim His death until He returns to feast with us again. Take heart; He has not forgotten you.
VII. Offering: (You may place your Prayer Requests in the offering basket)
Now may we respond by faithfully and generously giving of our resources to advance the work of the Gospel and God’s kingdom on earth.
Song: “King of My Heart”
Call: Jude 24-25
Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen..
