I. Opening Song
Song: “Doxology (Amen)”
II. Call To Worship
Reading: Psalm 2
Call: This is the Word of the Lord.
Response: Praise be to God
Song: “All Praise To Him”
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24,
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
God, you have called us to follow you faithfully, imaging you carefully, through the corridors of life. You have created us to be imitators of you, to mimic your beauty and power, to echo your love and grace. You want us to know you by loving what you love, and hating what you hate; you created us to laugh when you laugh. However, our affections have become disordered; our hearts have become so deranged to the degree that we hate what you love, and love what you hate. What makes you laugh makes us cry. Oh God, we have lost track of who you are. Our hearts grow cold, and our lights flicker from the storms of lust, pride, indulgence, and apathy. Oh God, we do not want you to remove our lampstand. God, we want to be faithful! But our sins are ever before us. So we confess them to you now.
Response: Father, forgive us.
Song: “O Come To The Altar”
IV. Assurance of Pardon
We serve a king who does not leave his people far off but turns our hearts toward himself. Jesus is the great king, the Lion and the Lamb, the Alpha and the Omega, he the creator God whose mercy is without end. He has absorbed the fire of judgment so that he could bring us through the cleansing waters of baptism. Every rebel thought and every disordered affection that fights against the Lordship of Christ has been atoned for on the cross. Upon that cross, Jesus was consumed by the full force of God’s holy justice, so that we may stand justified before a holy God. And upon his resurrection, he ascended to the right hand of the father where he now forever makes intercession for his bride. Church, we serve a God who fully forgives, he renews his covenant with his people, and he separates our sins as far as the east is from the west. So here these words, by the great and powerful name of Jesus, I declare to you that your sins are forgiven.
Response: Praise be to God!
Song: “There Is A Fountain”
Ephesians: The Mystery of God
Ephesians 4:1-6 | Robert Bragg
As a child of the King, you may eat and drink at the table He has prepared for you. Together we shall celebrate His victory & proclaim His death until He returns to feast with us again. Take heart; He has not forgotten you.
Song: "Saved My Soul”
VII. Offering: (You may place your Prayer Requests in the offering basket)
Now may we respond by faithfully and generously giving of our resources to advance the work of the Gospel and God’s kingdom on earth.
Song: “Drenched In Love”
Call: Revelation 1:5b-6,
“To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.”
