I. Opening Song
Why Sing as we come into the sanctuary?
Psalm 100 says, “Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!”
II. Call To Worship
Reading: Psalm 100
Call: This is the Word of the Lord.
Response: Praise be to God
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24,
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
Lord, as you call us into your presence, we come not as men and women worthy to see your glory, but we come as sinners, broken and scared, withered and worn, with hearts needing to be renewed. For even this week pride has infused our hearts, lust has caused us to stumble, and anger has burned within. Our souls have embraced chaos rather than resting in your peace, with our words we have destroyed that which you would have us build, and we have fortified that which you have defeated in the grave. We are indeed a people prone to wander. Our hearts and minds are so quick to bow before the idols of our age, and our actions image that which we worship. Oh Lord, we are in need of your mercy, and your grace is our only hope. So we come to you by the atoning work of Christ seeking your forgiveness.
Response: Father, forgive us.
IV. Assurance of Pardon
Church, do not allow your souls to remain downcast, do not allow healthy sorrow over sin to turn to guilt. For the grace of God has been poured out on your behalf because your guilt and your shame were poured out on the spotless lamb of God. Your condemnation has been nailed to the cross. For the Great and Mighty, the only Sovereign, the Creator of all things has given you forgiveness by the blood of his cross. For he has loved you with a love so mighty that death itself could not contain its power. He has raised you to such glory that even the angels long to see its splendor. Oh Church, lift up your hearts for you have been given a true and complete forgiveness. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus! So by the great and powerful name of Jesus, I declare to you that your sins are forgiven!
Response: Praise be to God!
Ephesians: The Mystery of God
“A City Turned Upside Down”
Acts 19 | Pastor Zach Ritz
As a child of the King, you may eat and drink at the table He has prepared for you. Together we shall celebrate His victory & proclaim His death until He returns to feast with us again. Take heart; He has not forgotten you.
VII. Offering: (You may place your Prayer Requests in the offering basket)
Now may we respond by faithfully and generously giving of our resources to advance the work of the Gospel and God’s kingdom on earth.
Call: 1 Corinthians 15:58,
Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.
