I. Opening Song
Song: ”Only King Forever”
II. Call To Worship
Reading: Psalm 29
Call: This is the Word of the Lord.
Response: Praise be to God
Song: “Jesus Is Better”
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24,
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
Lord, the taste of our wickedness still rests upon our lips. And the aroma of our depravity has yet to escape our nostrils. For we are a people who have refused to feast upon your goodness and truth. Instead, we have delighted in that which rots our bones, and we have filled our bellies with that which you despise. Twisted affections formed by the evil desires of our hearts have given birth to despair. Oh Lord, we have lost our way, for the light of your majesty has grown dim to our eyes, and we have carelessly drifted into the arms of another. Our hearts and minds need to be recalibrated to your glory. Our loves need to be reordered. Gracious God, rescue us from our false worship and form us into the image of your Son. For you have called us into your presence, and we are reminded of our need to repent. So we bow before you now seeking your grace and mercy by the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
Response: Father, forgive us.
Song: “O Come To The Altar”
IV. Assurance of Pardon
Yes, our hearts and affections, our loves and desires have been disordered. We have indeed called what is evil, good; and we have called what is good, evil. Helplessly we have come into the presence of the great and mighty king, and we have confessed our wayward desires. And the great and mighty King, the sovereign Lord of all, has not despised you. He has not told you to go and clean yourself up before coming into his presence. No, he does not look at you as a rebellious foreigner trespassing in his presence, for you are his beloved. You are his bride; you are his handiwork. He has purchased you by the blood of his cross, and through his spirit even now he is recalibrating your desires, he is reordering your loves. For he is at work within you, forming you into the image of Christ. Church, do not despair, for he who began this good work in you will bring it to completion to the glory of God the Father. So hear these words, by the great and powerful name of Jesus I declare to you that your sins are forgiven!
Response: Praise be to God!
Song: “O Praise The Name (Anastasis)”
Isaiah 6:1-9 | Pastor Kyle Lammott
As a child of the King, you may eat and drink at the table He has prepared for you. Together we shall celebrate His victory & proclaim His death until He returns to feast with us again. Take heart; He has not forgotten you.
Song: “Be Thou My Vision”
