I. Opening Song
II. Call To Worship
Reading: Psalm 138
Call: This is the Word of the Lord.
Response: Praise be to God
Song: “Jesus Is Better"
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24,
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
God, the scriptures declare with divine authority that you are our Rock, you are our Fortress, you are eternally faithful and true. There is nothing inconsistent or shifty about your character; all truth finds its definition by revealing your character. Each moment you are holding together the universe by the word of your power, you grant us the gift of breath, and out of your majesty, you have called us to follow you. And like rebellious little children we have turned our backs to you. We doubt your faithfulness because we are faithless. We question your truth because we are deceived. We have become unimpressed with your power and glory because our affections have become numb from sinful desires. Lord, we confess we have not seen you for who you are this week. We have fallen short of your glory, and we have forsaken your grace. We come before you now appealing to you by the blood of the cross.
Response: Father, forgive us.
Song: “All I Have Is Christ"
IV. Assurance of Pardon
Though the chains of sin were great, the grace of God is far greater. Though the weight of guilt was unbearable, the depth of God’s love is unsearchable. The power of the cross has defeated the enemy, Christ has conquered the grave, and he has redeemed his people from the clutches of sin and death. He has silenced the deafening screams of the accuser and crushed the deceivers head. The great King has come, and he has rescued his bride and now is bringing her to glory. And Church, you are the bride of Christ, he has secured you in his love, and there is nothing that can separate you from the love of this great king, he has removed your sin as far as the east is from the west. So Church, hear these words, by the great and powerful name of Jesus I declare to you that your sins are forgiven!
Response: Praise be to God!
"How Shall We Sing"
Psalm 137 | Pastor Zach Ritz
As a child of the King, please come forward to eat and drink at the table He has prepared for you. Together we shall celebrate His victory & proclaim His death until He returns to feast with us again. Take heart; He has not forgotten you.
Song: “All Glory Be To Christ”
