I. Opening Song

Song: “God Undefeatable”

II. Call To Worship

Reading: Psalm 93

Call: This is the Word of the Lord.

Response: Praise be to God

Song: “The Stand”

III. Confession

Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24,

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

Corporate Call:

God, we are regularly afraid and unable to speak, frozen as cowards, submitting in fear to the opinions of the wicked. Our legs tremble as we swallow the words you have called us to proclaim. Afraid of what people will think or say, we become weaklings more concerned about pleasing man than God, for we have a greater fear of man then we do of God.  Lord, we do not see you high and lifted up with fire in your eyes; instead, we see you as passive and insecure, for we have created you in our own image. We create you in our image for that is the only way we contain you. For under the weight of your glory we are crushed, under the light of your holiness we are exposed, before the throne of righteousness we are guilty and red-faced with shame. Lord, you are worthy of praise for you are powerful and great. And as you call us into your presence and we begin to see you for who you are we are then immediately reminded of our need to confess our sins before you.

Response: Father, forgive us.

Song: “How Deep The Father's Love For Us"

IV. Assurance of Pardon

Corporate Call:

God has not left you trembling in fear.  For we serve the King, who entered into the belly of fear and conquered it on our behalf. Not only has he overcome all fear, but he has given us a spirit of boldness. He has given us strength and power to proclaim the good news that King Jesus is on his throne until all the world kneels before him. The Gospel is good news because King Jesus has conquered and is conquering every enemy.  It is the enemy that seeks to wrap you with the chains of guilt and shame, but the king has crushed the enemy’s head, he no longer has power over you! If God is for us, who can be against us? Who could possibly bring a single charge against God’s elect? Who is to condemn? Christ has died, and even greater than that, he has risen! And he sits at the right hand of God always interceding for us, his people. Church this is the good news of the gospel! So hear these words, by the great and powerful name of Jesus I declare to you that your sins are forgiven!

Response:  Praise be to God!

Song: “Forever”

VII. Benediction

Call: Romans 8:35-39,

35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written,

“For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
