I. Opening Song
Song: “Drenched In Love"
II. Call To Worship
Reading: Psalm 98
Call: This is the Word of the Lord.
Response: Praise be to God
Song: “Our God Is Greater"
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24,
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
Lord, so quickly our confidence in you dissolves into doubt and fear. We bless your name on Sunday then Monday our souls become embittered toward you. We praise your works among the church, but at work, we act brutish and beastly toward you. Our hearts are fickle, and our affections are so easily led astray. We doubt your faithfulness when we see evil, and we question your love when we suffer. We envy after what the world flaunts, and we desire the praise of man more than we long for vindication from you. Oh Lord, we have eyes but fail to see your beauty. We have ears but fall short of hearing your truth. With our feet, we walk down slippery paths, and with our hands, we rebel against you. God, having come into your presence we are reminded of our need to confess our sins. So we come before you seeking renewal by the blood of Christ."
Response: Father, forgive us.
Song: “All The Poor and Powerless"
IV. Assurance of Pardon
Though we walk down slippery paths, the great and mighty hand of God holds tightly to his people. For you cannot escape his wondrous love; on the mountains, he waits for you, in the valleys he is faithful to rescue you. There is no height nor depth that his love does not overcome. For on the cross he has overcome the world, he has answered every accusation, and he has satisfied every guilty sentence. He now is perfecting for himself a bride, a church, a people for his own possession, purchased by his blood and secured by his resurrection from the dead. There is no power of hell nor scheme of man that can remove you from his blood-soaked hands. Church, because Jesus is the great king who rules all and has promised to keep you and never let you go, hear these words: By the great and powerful name of Jesus I declare to you your sins are forgiven!
Response: Praise be to God!
"The Saint’s Portion"
Psalm 73 | Pastor Kyle Lammott
As a child of the King, please come forward to eat and drink at the table He has prepared for you. Together we shall celebrate His victory & proclaim His death until He returns to feast with us again. Take heart; He has not forgotten you.
