I. Opening Song

Song: Be Thou My Vision"

II. Call To Worship

Reading: Isaiah 43:1-11

Call: This is the Word of the Lord.

Response: Praise be to God

Song: The Stand"

III. Confession

Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24,

23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

Corporate Call:

Lord, how fear grips our hearts, how doubt causes turmoil in our minds, and how the unknown makes our souls tremble. Oh Lord, we are so easily troubled, we so quickly forget your promises and doubt your faithfulness. Sin drives us away from your peace. When sin is left unchecked we find no comfort in your Spirit, and no rest in your love. Instead, we become bitter toward you; we act like beasts before you. We get tossed back and forth by the storms of life and wonder why you have forsaken us. Oh God, you are faithful and always with us, yet we act like fearful children lost in a crowd. God, we recognize that we have not trusted you this week, we have not rested in your peace nor praised you for your sustaining grace. Lord, this reminds us of our need to repent, so we come before you now by the blood of Christ to confess our sins.

Response: Father, forgive us.

Song: How Deep The Father’s Love For Us"

IV. Assurance of Pardon

Corporate Call:

Though we struggle with turmoil and fear, with doubt and concern, there is One who by his Spirit brings chaos to order. There is One who calms the storms by the word of his power. Church, there is One who causes demons to shutter and retreat, and there is One who commands the darkness to run and hide. On the cross, this One put the dark powers to open shame, and in his resurrection, he triumphed over death itself. His perfect love casts out all fear, and his glory causes strong men to tremble. Church, we serve the Great King who has conquered death, which are the wages of our sins. He has given us a new life, a new name, a new purpose, and a new heart. Oh for sin decays and destroys but the Great King, Jesus Christ, is making all things new! Church hear these words, by the great and powerful name of Jesus I declare to you that your sins are forgiven!

Response:  Praise be to God!

Song: Jesus Paid It All"
