II. CALL TO WORSHIP
Reading: Isaiah 25:6-9
Call: THIS IS THE WORD OF THE LORD.
Response: THANKS BE TO GOD!
Song: Christ is Risen/O Praise the Name (Anastasis)
Song: Lord From Sorrows Deep I Call
III. CONFESSION
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
Corporate Call:
The shadows of the night have crept into our souls and darkened the affections of our hearts. Rather than being formed by the glory of your grace, we have been conformed by the power of the grave. For the aroma of death is still upon our breath, and our hearts beat not as flesh, but stone. Lord, we have failed to worship you for who you are, and we have neglected to bow before your majestic rule. Instead, we have wrapped ourselves in sin’s enslaving embrace, forgetting the resurrection of the Son. So we come before you now, confessing the evil that clings to our hearts, and we ask for your grace - so by the power of the risen King, oh Lord, hear our cry!
Response: Father, forgive us.
IV. ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Arise and hear the good news!
Church, your prayers have not failed, for your confession has ascended to the right hand of the Father, where the Great High Priest has now interceded on your behalf.
Beloved, the Son of Righteousness, the king of glory, the eternal God who on that first Easter morning rose triumphant, defeating death and the dark powers that once held you in the grave, has redeemed you from the clutches of sin and death.
The resurrected King, Jesus the Christ, bore your sins upon the cross, and in his resurrection, has raised you from the pit of slavery and has seated you upon his throne of righteousness. For in Christ you are redeemed, reconciled, justified, sanctified, glorified, and forgiven. For in Christ you have been ushered into the presence of the living God with great joy! And this is good news!
So Church, lift up your hearts and hear these words, by the great and powerful name of Jesus I declare to you that your sins are forgiven!
Response: Thanks be to God!
Song: Living Hope

Luke 24
Kyle Lammott, Lead Pastor
