Song: His Mercy Is More
II. CALL TO WORSHIP
Reading: Psalm 148
Call: THIS IS THE WORD OF THE LORD.
Response: THANKS BE TO GOD!
Song: Come Thou Fount
Song: Psalm 46 (Lord Of Hosts)
III. CONFESSION
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
Corporate Call:
Most holy and merciful Father, we confess to you, and to one another, that we have sinned and fallen short of your glory. The righteous acts we muster are nothing more than filthy rags in your sight. Lord, our sins are more than we can count, and no matter how much we try to hide them, they are visible to your sight.
We confess that we have rebelled against you in thought, word, and deed. We have not loved our neighbors as we ought, and we have exalted ourselves as objects worthy of praise. Lord, the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life testify to our guilt. For this reason we run to your infinite mercy and seek your forgiveness. In the name of Jesus our Redeemer, hear our cry!
Response: Father, forgive us.
IV. ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Arise and hear the good news!
Church, your prayers have not failed, for your confession has ascended to the right hand of the Father, where the Great High Priest has now interceded on your behalf.
My friends, know this, The Almighty God, the maker of heaven and earth, the ascended Lord, has achieved all there is to accomplish to fully and completely forgive and restore you who have fallen into sin.
Christ’s redemption has defeated the slave master of sin; his mercy and grace has covered you like a garment; you are eternally safe and secure in the strong hands of the Messiah. He rescued you from the wastelands of sin and has brought you to his table of joy where your cup overflows. Church, you are in Christ, and Christ is in you; you are loved, you are cherished and you are forever in his hands.
So hear these words, by the great and powerful name of Jesus I declare to you, your sins are forgiven!
Response: Thanks be to God!
Song: What A Beautiful Name
V. SERMON
Psalm 91
Samuel Hargrave, Deacon
VI. OFFERING
(YOU MAY PLACE YOUR PRAYER REQUESTS IN THE OFFERING BASKET)
Call: Now may we respond by faithfully and generously giving of our resources to advance the work of the Gospel and God’s kingdom on earth.
Song: He Will Hold Me Fast
VII. COMMUNION
As a child of the King, you may eat and drink at the table He has prepared for you. Together we shall celebrate His victory & proclaim His death until He returns to feast with us again. Take heart; He has not forgotten you.
Song: Heart Won't Stop
Song: "Doxology"
VIII. BENEDICTION
Jude 24-25: Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever.
