I. OPENING
Song: "Grace Alone"
II. CALL TO WORSHIP
Reading: Psalm 34:1-8
Call: THIS IS THE WORD OF THE LORD.
Response: THANKS BE TO GOD!
Song: “I Will Wait Upon The Lord (Psalm 130)”
Song: “Where Were You”
III. CONFESSION
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
Corporate Call:
Lord, you have promised that the knowledge of your glory will cover the earth like the waters cover the sea, you have commissioned us to bring the gospel to the nations, and you have called us your ambassadors. Rather than passionately being about your mission, rather than humbly submitting to your rule, our hearts have become cold to your grace, and the feet you have given us to bring good news to the lost have become heavy with self-indulgence. The tongues you have given us to proclaim your goodness have become instruments of self-praise. The hands you have given us to create and serve have found purpose in ‘clicking’ and ‘swiping’ for self-glorification. Lord, you have created us in your image, yet the image we seek to reflect is that of a rebel, lazy to your call.
For this reason, we run for refuge to your infinite mercy, we ask for your forgiveness and deliverance through our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Response: Father, forgive us.
IV. ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Arise and hear the good news!
Church, your prayers have not failed, for your confession has ascended to the right hand of the Father, where the Great High Priest has now interceded on your behalf.
Beloved, never forget the transforming power of God’s grace! Even in the midst of shame and guilt. The good news of the gospel is that the river of life flows from the throne of our Creator. And the waters of God’s holy temple bring renewal and cleansing to those who have fallen into sin. For Christ himself has called you to come and drink from the springs of his mercy and bathe in the flood of his redeeming grace. And be washed clean by the eternal love of the Redeemer.
For through his atoning sacrifice we find healing for our despair and forgiveness for our wickedness. Church, there is no reason to be downcast this morning; instead, lift up your hearts and hear these words, by the great and powerful name of Jesus I declare to you that your sins are forgiven!
Response: Thanks be to God!
Song: "Great Are You Lord"
V. SERMON
Genesis: Day 5 - Winged Creatures and Sea Monsters
Kyle Lammott - Lead Pastor
VI. OFFERING
(YOU MAY PLACE YOUR PRAYER REQUESTS IN THE OFFERING BASKET)
Call: Now may we respond by faithfully and generously giving of our resources to advance the work of the Gospel and God’s kingdom on earth.
Song: “In Christ Alone”
VII. COMMUNION
As a child of the King, you may eat and drink at the table He has prepared for you. Together we shall celebrate His victory & proclaim His death until He returns to feast with us again. Take heart; He has not forgotten you.
Song: “Build My Life”
Song: "Doxology"
