III. CONFESSION
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

Corporate Call:
Father, we come before you this morning confessing our sins, our rebellious hearts, and our wayward desires. Our fingers ache from clutching and clinging to those things that we thought would satisfy. Oh Lord, you have created us in your image, you have made us for your glory, and you have redeemed us from the clutches of sin and death - and rather than living for your praise, we walk in the aroma of arrogance - rather than standing boldly in the truth, we embrace the open arms of passiveness and apathy. God, please open our eyes so that we might gaze on your beauty; rescue us from our pride which provokes, and bring rest to our agitated hearts.

Lord we are lost and helpless apart from your grace, and it is for this reason, we run for refuge to your infinite mercy, seeking and imploring your forgiveness through our Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Response: Father, forgive us.

IV. ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Arise and hear the good news!

Church, your prayers have not failed, for your confession has ascended to the right hand of the Father where the Great High Priest has now interceded on your behalf.

Beloved, Open your eyes and gaze into the beauty of your Redeemer. He is the sovereign King who brings rest to the restless soul, he brings peace to the tortured mind, and he brings shalom to the wandering heart. He has given you a grace deeper than the ocean’s floor, and he has brought you into his glory that shines brighter than the stars above. Like a mountain, his faithfulness is unmoving. His love is stronger than the mightiest winds and burns hotter than a 1000 torches. For you are his and he is yours. You are his bride who was bought with the blood of the King. And you will never be pulled from the clutch of his hand.

Church, This is good news! So lift up your hearts and hear these words and know, your redeemer has redeemed you, your savior has saved you, your King has declared with his mighty voice, your sins are forgiven!

Response: Thanks be to God!
