III. CONFESSION
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!
Corporate Call:
Lord, we confess that we have grievously sinned against you in word, thought, and deed; Not only in outward transgressions, but also in secret thoughts and desires that we are unable fully to understand, but which are all known to you.
Lord, how swiftly we have rebelled against your grace. Rather than running from them, we have raced toward the evil desires of the flesh. Impatience has gripped our hearts. Envy and greed cling to our affections. Oh Lord, against you and you only have we sinned. Apart from your grace, there is no life, only death. Apart from your presence, there is no joy, only despair. Oh Lord, we are in need of your grace.
For this reason, we run for refuge to your infinite mercy, seeking and imploring your forgiveness and deliverance through our Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Response: Father, forgive us.
IV. ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Arise and hear the good news!
Church, your prayers have not failed, for your confession has ascended to the right hand of the Father, where the Great High Priest has now interceded on your behalf.
This is true, church, we have a great High Priest. Therefore, who can bring any charge against God’s elect? Who can point a finger at the bride of Christ and call her condemned? For the great king, Jesus Christ has taken upon himself your shame, your guilt, your condemnation, and your brokenness. He has received your sin and crucified it upon the cross and buried it in the grave. And by the power of the Holy Spirit, he raised you to a new life where no power in heaven or on earth or under the earth can separate you from the love of God.
Therefore Church, lift up your hearts and hear these words: By the great and powerful name of Jesus, I declare to you, your sins are forgiven!

As a child of the King, you may eat and drink at the table He has prepared for you. Together we shall celebrate His victory & proclaim His death until He returns to feast with us again. Take heart; He has not forgotten you.

The Lord bless you and keep you;
the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
