I. OPENING
Song: "Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)"

II. CALL TO WORSHIP
Reading: Psalm 66:1-8

Song: “Jesus Is Better”
Song: “Psalm 46 (Lord Of Hosts)”

III. CONFESSION
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

Corporate Call:
Lord, hear our prayer; and let our cry come to you. Father, we confess that we have sinned against you in word, thought, and deed. Not only in outward transgressions, but also in secret thoughts and desires that dishonor you. Lord, we have placed ourselves before others, and have insisted on our own way rather than walking in yours. We have not leaned on your understanding, but have become weak and we stumble under the weight of our wayward hearts. Lord, we thank You that You bend your ear to those who call for you, we thank you that you hear us, we thank you that you do not withhold pardon from us. So Lord, in Christ’s name, hear this prayer from your people according to your mercy:

Response: Father, forgive us.

IV. ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Arise and hear the good news!

Church, arise and stand with me, for your prayers have not failed, for your confession has ascended to the right hand of the Father, where your Great High Priest, the Lord Jesus has now interceded on your behalf.

We cry out with the Psalmist “Have mercy on me oh God!” And God has answered with Mercy. Indeed, God answers you with new mercy every morning. Church, the Father sets before you Christ, the bright and morning Star, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the One who speaks and makes it so. According to the abundant mercy of God He has indeed blotted out your transgressions. He has washed you thoroughly from your iniquities. And this He has accomplished with His own blood.

He has washed you white as snow with the blood and water that fell from His side. He firmly holds you with his nail-torn hands. Church, joy and gladness are freely yours because Christ is yours forever. And you will never be cast away from the presence of God because Jesus entered the grave for you and rose victoriously!

So sons and daughters of God, be at rest this morning and rejoice, and hear these sweet and truthful words: Church, I declare to you that by the great and powerful name of Jesus, your sins are forgiven!

Response: Thanks be to God!

Song: "Forever (We Sing Hallelujah)"

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 - Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
